SignSmiths of Texas was created right here in Wylie, Tx by locally focused entrepreneurs, Mallory and Michael Smith.
In June 2023, Scott Horvath and his family took over the business, freeing Mallory to pursue new opportunities.
We remain a family-owned business, drawing from our experience across a wide variety of industries and verticals, and Scott’s experience in the armed services. Scott moved here to Texas after 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Harrier Pilot stationed at MCAS Cherry Point.
His professional roles included management of manufacturing, planning, quality, shipping, receiving, inventory control, purchasing, and multiple ERP system implementations. His strong operational background focusing on lean manufacturing and overall efficiencies ensures that customers receive the right solution for their needs.
On the weekend, you can find him spending time with his 7 children – Cedric, Curtis, Derrick, Jason, and Alena, a German Shepherd, and his Shelby GT350 Mustang.
Scott manages the day-to-day operations along with his son, Jason. The Horvaths look forward to bringing a new perspective to Wylie area businesses while paying respect to the strong culture that Mallory and Michael have built.
