Our 8 Favorite Wylie-Area Small Businesses to Support

Wylie area small and local businesses

Our little city of Wylie, Texas and surrounding areas have a bit of everything! From local tailors to high-end video production, Wylie has no shortage of hard-working, honest people and small businesses. During COVID-19 and other tough times, it is especially important to support these local shops.

Our owner, Mallory, has compiled a list of her 8 favorite Wylie-area businesses. Find out why we love them and how you can support them too!

  1. Opa Greek Taverna

I’ve been eating at this restaurant since 2014. From day 1, Kostas was always personable and welcoming. On top of that, the food and drinks are always awesome!

  1. Bavarian Grill

Bavarian is hands down my favorite restaurant in the area! I’ve never found a German experience outside of Germany that rivals Bavarian Grill. The food is fantastic, the portions are plentiful, and the music is always uplifting. I especially love to go when the accordion player is performing.

  1. Jal Dennis Group

I’ve known Kristi Denham with this financial advising group for about a year now, and she is always a ray of sunshine. This group has a diverse set of financial knowledge, and Kristi is constantly challenging herself to advance in her education. The group is very active in the community and is always willing to give back.

As a side note, I was able to do acrylic sneeze guards for their office during the shutdown so their customers could feel more comfortable during face-to-face meetings.

  1. Vu’s Custom Clothier

I met Mr. Vu in a networking group about a year ago and have done business with him several times since then. I prefer to call him “Mr.” because his wardrobe commands it. He makes some of the coolest looking suits I’ve had the pleasure of seeing.

He is also willing and able to work out some great deals for wedding parties (he is doing all of the suits for my sister’s upcoming wedding). If you stop in, check out the window graphics we did out front!

  1. Campbell Crossing Dentistry

I’ve been going to Dr. Tommy Reed for about 20 years now, and he and his staff have always taken great care of me! Their dentistry is gentle and modest, they are all about keeping as much of your natural teeth as possible; they never over-diagnose. Also, your view from the chair is serene with trees and animals.

  1. Paula Thompson – Ebby Halliday Realtor

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Paula for a while now, and she is one of the sharpest people I know! Paula is driven, professional, and genuine. She’s at the top of the real estate game in the Dallas area and does great things for her clients. Paula is my go-to for anything real estate!

  1. Suntex Roofing & Reconstruction

Shawn and Leanne are a rarity in the roofing world! They are honest, hardworking and extremely knowledgeable. How many people can say they’ve ever had roofers come down from an inspection and tell you that you don’t actually need their services?

I’ve seen this personally – when other roofers will say anything to get a job, Suntex Roofing and Reconstruction is working to build trust and customers for life.

  1. Red Creative Films

Justin at Red Creative Films has an eye for video production. You can find several examples of his work on his social media platforms – from commercials, to wedding videos to real estate drone work, Justin has a vast portfolio.

I’ve known Justin since elementary school, and he’s always had creativity to spare! He even gives back to his community and supports other small businesses. Check out the video he did for me on my Facebook page!
