Women Supporting Women: The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council

We have exciting news!
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the nation’s leader in women’s business development, and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women. The council was founded in 1997 and consists of more than 13,000 certified Women’s Business Enterprises. Members also include 14 national Regional Partner Organizations, and over 300 Corporate Members.
We are excited to announce that we have recently secured our new national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise. We are one of the 13,000 certified enterprises!
“As a female-owned small business, this certification is so important to me and my team. We make every effort to support other women-owned entities whenever possible, and we are proud to be part of the important work being done to advance women-owned businesses on a national scale by the WBENC.
This can also be valuable for your business. The certification opens the door for our partners to secure various economic advantages when partnering with us.” – Mallory Smith, Owner.
WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. SignSmiths of Texas is 100% woman-owned!
Corporations and government agencies can demonstrate their commitment to diversity and supplier diversity programs by including women-owned businesses among their suppliers. This can make the organization eligible for certain financial benefits.
