Built on Craftsmanship & Customer Care

Signsmiths of Texas was created right here in Wylie, TX by locally focused entrepreneur, Michael Smith.

In June 2023, Scott Horvath and his family took over the business.

We remain a family owned business, drawing from experience across a wide variety of industries and verticals, along with Scott’s background in the armed services. Scott moved to Texas after eight years in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Harrier Pilot stationed at MCAS Cherry Point.

His professional roles included management of manufacturing, planning, quality, shipping, receiving, inventory control, purchasing, and multiple ERP system implementations. His strong operational background focuses on lean manufacturing and efficiency. Customers receive the right solution for their needs.

On the weekend, you will find him spending time with wife, their seven children: Cedric, Curtis, Derrick, Jason, and Alena, along with a German Shepherd and his Shelby GT350 Mustang.

Scott manages day-to-day operations with his son, Jason. The Horvaths look forward to building relationships with businesses in the Wylie area to maximize their marketing efforts through signage.
